As I write this it has been over 10 years since my CRASH. I still have not found a cure to ME/CFS. But I have learned how to maintain. I have discovered that my life will continue to be a life of discipline and perseverance as I continue on this Road to Recovery. I confess to you that I have to stay on top of my condition. I am still chemically sensitive, electrically sensitive and I have to watch carefully where I go, what I do and what I eat. I have to keep the candida in check at all times and I still do parasite cleanses on occasion. I continue with my coffee enemas and my strict diet and nutrition. I currently am experimenting with a detoxing protocol that has been very interesting to say the least. And, I am using muscle testing on a regular basis.
My naturopaths taught me how to do muscle testing on myself and it has been a very valuable asset on this Road to Recovery. I have taught others to muscle test as well. I call it the swing method and it is a very simple thing to do. You stand away from the microwave. Don't be holding a cellphone in your hand or have a cap or hat on your head. The first thing you do is say, "My name is __________ (say your name)". Your body will swing forward or backward. If it swings forward, your body is saying, "Yes, your name is __________." If your body swings backward, then your body is not in sink and you can not continue with the muscle testing. Wait until a later time and try it again. The forward motion of the body indicates that you are in sink and can proceed.
Lately, when I suspect that I am needing a coffe enema I ask my body if it needs one. Generally it will swing forward and indicate a 'yes' answer since I am already pretty much aware that I am needing one. I then ask it - on a scale from one to ten with one meaning don't need one very much to ten meaning I need one VERY much. Then my body will swing foward one to ten times to let me know how much I am needing one.
Muscle testing is very valuable in determining one's nutritional intake. If I suspect that I am needing a particular supplement, vitamin, herbal remedy, etc., I can muscle test to determine whether or not my body is needing it and how much it is needing. I first check to see if I am in sink, then I hold the bottle or package of whatever and ask if it is something my body needs. Then I proceed to ask how much it needs. First, I ask if it needs it every day. If I get a 'yes' answer, then I proceed with the next question of 'how much do I need each day'. You will ask the appropriate question: i.e. "how many drops do you need each day?" or "how many capsules do you need each day?" or whatever.
This is very helpful when you are in a health food store and you want to know if you should buy a particular product. It is also helpful if you want to know if you should stay away from a particular food.
My naturopath recently encouraged me to determine the cause of my hearing loss since I am too young to be loosing my hearing. So the first question I asked was, "Is it exposure to chemicals that has caused my hearing loss?" I get a 'No' answer since my body swung backward. I then asked, "Is it something I eat that has caused my hearing loss?" Once again I get a 'No' answer. I then ask, "Is it heavy metals in my body that has caused it?" I get a 'Yes' answer. Since I am presently on a detoxing protocol to pull the residual heavy metals out of my body I asked, "If I succeed in getting the heavy metals out of my body, will it improve my hearing?" I get a 'No' answer. I then ask, "So the hearing loss from the heavy metals is a permanent hearing loss?" I get a 'Yes' answer.
My naturopath also encouraged me to do ear candles to help the hearing loss. I have done the ear candles a total of 6 times and I did muscle testing to find out how many more candles I need to purchase to complete this process. My body told me 7 more times. It is amazing how much ear wax I have gotten out with the use of the ear candles. I asked my body, "Has the ear wax contributed to my hearing loss?" Answer: 'yes'. I asked, "Will the ringing in my ears stop when I get all the wax out?" I got a 'yes' answer. I do hope my body didn't lie to me.
Yesterday, I was develping a headache and I suspected that it was because I had spent time in a department store. So I asked my body, "Is the headache due to the exposure in the department store?" Answer: 'yes'. You may be asking, "Why a department store?" Well, I asked my body. "Is it the chemicals in the new clothing?" Answer: 'Yes'. "Is it the perfumes/colognes?" Answer: 'Yes'.
I was also curious one day as to what causes my insomnia that I have suffered with for over 30 years. So I asked, "Is it chemicals I am exposed to?" 'Yes' is the answer. "Is it EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies )?" 'Yes' again. "Am I sensitive to the EMFs because of the heavy metals in my body?"'Yes' again. "If I succeed in ridding my body of the heavy metals, will the insominia improve?" I truly rejoiced when my body said, 'yes'.
A few months ago I began doing body soaks. The particular body soak I am using addresses the heavy metals and several chemicals. The suggested dosage of the body soak solution in the bath is 8 ounces, but it took a good three months of soaks before I could build up to the reccomended dose of 8 ounces. I began with only four ounces in the tub of warm water. It is important what questions you ask your body. When I asked my body how much of the body soak I was needing it would swing forward 8 times meaning 8 ounces of the solution. However, when I ask it the important question of how much it could handle, the answer was much different. I had to begin with only 2.5 ounces in the tub. I did that twice, then increased to 3, then 4, then 5.5, then 6, then 6.5, 7.5 and 7 weeks after the first soak I finally arrived at the 8 ounce reccomended dose.
The protocol reccomended that my head be in the water except for my nose and mouth so I could breathe. When I put my head down in the water during the soak for the reccomended time of 10 minutes I would have a sick headache for 3 days afterward. Then I realized that I had to muscle test to determine how much time my body was able to handle my head down in the water. Answer: '4 minutes', It still remains at 4 minutes even after all these months of doing the soaks.
